Years of
Experience
Development Organization for Society Expanding (DOS-E) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered and recognized by the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) in the Republic of South Sudan. Founded in the 21st century by a visionary collective of scientists, technologists, and social innovators, DOS-E was established to address a critical juncture in humanity: the need for integrated, resilient development in a rapidly changing world.
DOS-E was initiated as a response to the increasing demand for national humanitarian agencies that possess the local expertise and technical innovation required to reach destitute communities. We are built to be a permanent, homegrown fixture — present when international NGOs cannot be.
To provide comprehensive humanitarian and development services to extremely vulnerable communities, with a focus on environmental restoration, food security, and human rights. By bridging the gap between emergency relief and long-term sustainability, we aim to enhance the transformation of lives and ensure total well-being for all.
A world where every individual has the potential to thrive, contributing to a globally interconnected and equitable society. To usher in an era of unprecedented human advancement and exploration — a humanity united by shared purpose and profound respect for life, where societal structures evolve to support the full realization of human potential.
We act with honesty and transparency in all our dealings, ensuring that every resource is utilized for the benefit of the communities we serve.
We embrace creative solutions and technological advancements to overcome traditional barriers to development and humanitarian aid.
We believe in the dignity of every human being. Our programs serve all people regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, or political affiliation.
We are answerable to our donors, the Government of South Sudan, and most importantly the people whose lives we aim to transform.
Like the communities we support, we remain steadfast and operational even in the face of environmental and security challenges.
These principles dictate how we implement our programs on the ground, ensuring that every action is purposeful, safe, and locally led.
We prioritize local expertise and community participation. For development to be sustainable, it must be driven by the people of South Sudan, leveraging their inherent knowledge and strength.
We do not view humanitarian aid and long-term development as separate entities. Our principle is to provide immediate relief while simultaneously building the infrastructure and skills necessary for long-term self-reliance.
Our actions are guided by data, research, and technical innovation. By using scientific methods to assess needs, we ensure our interventions are both efficient and impactful.
In conflict-affected regions, we ensure our presence and programs do not inadvertently exacerbate local tensions. We maintain neutrality and prioritize the safety and protection of the most vulnerable.
We integrate environmental restoration into all our sectors. We aim to expand society without depleting the natural resources required for future generations.
