Real-time updates and human-centred narratives from our field teams across South Sudan, keeping donors and partners informed about the impact of DOS-E's work.
After last season's severe flooding, Nyakim, a mother of four, lost her entire sorghum crop. Through the DOS-E FSL Project, she received drought-resistant seeds and training in kitchen gardening. Today, she is not only feeding her children but selling surplus vegetables at the local market.
"I no longer wait for the food truck. I have my own garden." — Nyakim
A high-capacity solar water pump now provides clean, safe drinking water to over 3,000 residents and a nearby primary health center, significantly reducing water-borne disease.
DOS-E staff and communities gathered across multiple field offices, focusing on "Empowering Women for Social Expansion," with workshops on vocational skills and leadership.
When Achol arrived at our outpost, her son weighed far below the danger threshold. Eight weeks of OTP care, RUTF rations, and IYCF counselling later, he is thriving — one of 92% who fully recovered this cycle.
